Hi O-JS:
Take a trip to http://www.sherweng.com/interfac.html and you will see that
Rob Sherwood has a little mixer to let you upconvert or downconver to to 455
kHz.
It is not true that this list always provides such fast answers to all
questions....

P.S. With your initials, I am tempted to think you might just be O.J.
Simpson trying to get away from it all.

Subject: [Premium-Rx] How to get 455 kHz from a 40 kHz IF output?
Hi,
I am new on the list, but I guess my introduction was sent out before I
got on (?)
Anyway, I have a WJ HF-1000A with a Sherwood SE-3 that I am very pleased
with. Now I would like to connect an SE-3 to my R&S EK895 as well. Only
problem is that the EK895 only have max. 40 kHz IF output. R&S offers a
1.000 USD option to get the 455 kHz output but I guess there must be simpler
(and more inexpensive) ways to achieve this? I know there are
down-converters available that gives you 12 kHz output from almost any IF
frequency. But up-converters are hard to find.
Any input will be welcome.
