Hi,
I am new on the list, but I guess my introduction was sent out before I got on (?)
Anyway, I have a WJ HF-1000A with a Sherwood SE-3 that I am very pleased with. Now I would like to connect an SE-3 to my R&S EK895 as well. Only problem is that the EK895 only have max. 40 kHz IF output. R&S offers a 1.000 USD option to get the 455 kHz output but I guess there must be simpler (and more inexpensive) ways to achieve this? I know there are down-converters available that gives you 12 kHz output from almost any IF frequency. But up-converters are hard to find.
Any input will be welcome.
