I have 3 kHz Collins LSB/USB in my Racal 6790/GM, in addition to a 2.1
kHz crystal symmetrical filter, plus the standard Racal 3.24. To me,
the only significant difference is the bandwidth differences of the
three choices, 2.1, 3.0 and 3.24. Except in rare cases, the modest
differences in shape factor and filter resonator type are
insignificant. The flexibility of the LSB/USB pair is nice, especially
when used with an external synchronous detector on AM. Push a button
and you have flipped sidebands without retuning.
