Fellow Members-
I am happy to announce that Scott Schappert has joined our Premium List. I have to apologize, Scott first contacted me about 10 days ago, and somehow I missed his e-mail. Seems the SPAM noise floor is so high in this area that his e-mail got covered up. Anyway, it is nice to have him join our List. Scott was recommended by member Spencer Bahner, who is a fellow Watkins Johnson collector.
Scott is an EE that somehow got drawn into the area of lasers as they pertain to medical application. His experience spans XeCl gas excimer lasers, Ho:YAG, Nd:YAG, CTH:YAG, Er:YAG and Er:YSGG flash lamp pumped mobile solid state medical devices for applications ranging from Hydrokinetic dental drilling, to excimer laser coronary angioplasty.
In the past three years Scott has moved his focus to radio systems consulting which speaks for his interest in joining our group. While home he enjoys a number of radios including a WJ 8618A and a WJ 8615. One of his more interesting receivers is the IFR T-1200 SR a scanning receiver covering 100 KHz to 1.0 GHz. This was a receiver produced for the U.S. government. Scott is interested in knowing if any fellow member has such a radio or another product of IFR??? Scott also has a R7000, R8500, R75, plus others.
Our newest member lives in Southern California, an area known as Irvine. He is interested in learning more about WJ receivers and sharing what technical materials he may have with others.
You can give Scott a blast at: scottsch at ix.netcom.com
Sorry for the delay Scott, and welcome to our group.
Greg
