[Premium-Rx] New Member: Lars Petersson (Sweden)

Fellow Members:

Lars Petersson, of Gothenburg, located on the West Coast of Sweden, has joined the Premium-Rx List.  When on the air, Lars can be heard as SM6RPZ, a call he has had since 1986.  

For the past five years our newest member has been employed as a research and electrical design engineer at Onsala Space Observatory, Chalmers University of Technology (Ed:  Chalmers is well established as a Centre for Astrophysics and Space Science, their site is worthy of a look-n-see:  http://www.oso.chalmers.se/).  He states his job has included designing everything from power supplies to feed horns.  

The area of high end, high performance, receivers has long been of interest to our newest member.  He states he enjoys 'playing' with front end systems and high-IP3 mixer.  This interest he admits, is still in the growing stages.

Recently he has been eyeing equipment from Standard Radio och Telefon AB (SRT).  This company produced a lot of equipment for the Swedish military.  Specifically, he desires to learn more about and obtain a SRT CR-91 receiver.  At the moment he is using a Skanti R-5001 as well as a Drake R7.
