I have a chirpsounder receiver in perfect working condition - an RCS-5. I
can tell you all about it as I use it often to see what propagation
conditions are. It's quite an intricate piece of equipment and gives you a
visual display of the D, E and F layers in real time. If anything is
premium, it should be. Uncle Sam pays around $100,000 for one of these. It
has a keyboard for entering frequencies and can be used as a normal
receiver, and it's full of microprocessors.
