Barry,

You have highlighted an interesting phenomina. 

Why is the human body a 'good' antenna when something of similar size - perhaps
larger - is not so good? I have often come across this effect while
experimenting or carrying out repairs.
I have never really thought anything of it until you mentioned it too.

Anyone got any theories, similar experience, or done any work on this?
