I've gotten so many inquiries about the other WJ receiver in my eBay 
listing that I decided to offer it here first:

WJ-8617B-26 in excellent operational and nice physical shape.

The -26 is the special VLF variant in the S1 series.  It covers 10 kHz to 
500 MHz continuous.  I built this radio into my dream configuration out of 
all my 861x parts.  Filters for 3.2U, 3.2L, 10, 20, 50, 250, 2000 kHz, 
detectors for AM, FM, CW, PULSE, USB, LSB, extended memories (99), memory 
lockout, digital squelch, AFC, digital S-meter in dBm, variable BFO, remote 
control, scan, sweep, reconfigurable tuning steps.  This radio is loaded.

The S1 is the late model version of the 8617/8618 receiver series where all 
the option data was moved from ROMs on the option cards to the main 
processor board ROM.  That means you can add or remove most option cards as 
easy as PCI cards in a computer.  The radio will configure itself to the 
inserted option cards on boot up.  WJ also cleaned up a number of other 
design limitations from earlier versions of the radio, technical stuff like 
buffering the CPU address and data lines before they go to the busses.

It works down to 10 kHz as well as any HF radio I've owned and is a great 
receiver all the way to 500 MHz.  Really cool because of the 4 MHz spectrum 
display.  Watch all of 10 meter ham band at once.  Make searching out 
utility traffic from 10-14 MHz a snap.  Spectrum display can zoom all to 
examine a single SSB signal in detail.  Does things no other HF radio can 
and is a great VHF-UHF radio as well.

This radio has been completely stable since I replaced the memory battery 
right after I got it (about 3 years ago).  I even built a direct keypad 
entry box for it (not included but I will provide simple one chip schematic 
- was an external option and is impossible to find but easy to build)

Comes with a full set of manuals covering everything except the VLF

overseas, but under the "New World Order" buyer assumes all responsibility
