[Premium-Rx] Ni Cad Battery Corrosion

I move them off the board as well.  I also mount the battery holder inside 
a small plastic box.

The corrosion might be caused by outgassing, but all the damage I have seen 
in various WJ-8617B receivers has been below the battery.  If it is a gas, 
I'd conclude it is heavier than air.
