[Premium-Rx] New member / Racal 6790/GM

Hi folks!

I´m new to the list, but happy to be a member now!

I live in Austria, originally from Scotland but moved to Austria when I was
5.

I have just bought myself a Racal 6790/GM and desperatly awaiting delivery.
;-))

Here is a list of the radios I already use:
1 NRD 525G (solidstate)
1 Siemens E311b (tube - german military receiver)
1 Icom PCR 1000 (solidstate - computer controlled)
1 TRIO 9R59DE (tube - modified with digital frequency-display)
1 Murphy B62 (tube - british submarine receiver)
Antennas:
- homebrew Active Antenna for 1.5MHz - 200Mhz
- ARA 60 from dressler (what a disapointment )
thinking of buying an Alpha Delta DX-Ultra for the Racal and a Discone for
the PCR1K

The Racal is the first (but not the last) Premium RX, I hope its worth the
money.

I would be thankfull for any info, help, tips & tricks to do with the
RA6790.
I read somewhere that the 1792 and the 6790 is the same. The only diffrence
supposed to be is that the 1792 was manufatucred in GB.
Is this true?
Cant beleive this since the 1792 hasnt got the good critics like the 6790.

Well thats all for the moment! Im sure I´ll have some questions about the
Racal once I have it running.
So dont be suprised when I start bothering you! ;-))
