[PPRAANet] MegaFest cancellation question

I do apologize, I sent out many emails last week about it and neglected to send one to the reflector. This is totally on me.
As for CRA I did send email to the swap list and to all the other lists I had advertised on. I have no control over how those messages are handled after that.
There is no malicious or nefarious reason for the cancellation. The vote happened just last week at the board meeting and was announced 2 days later at the membership meeting. This is not a lack of communication issue, as the news hasn't even been public for a whole week.
As for the reasons it was cancelled, several, including difficulty with a paperwork delay with the Secretary of State's office causing us to be 4 months behind in certain steps that insure a successful event. It was better to cancel now than risk losing club money.

I went to the PPRAA web site and noticed this prominently displayed:

*MegaFest Cancelled*

*Due to a compilation of circumstances the PPRAA Board of Directors has
reluctantly decided to cancel MegaFest for 2025.*

This leaves me to wonder why, Why, WHY was this not presented to a
larger portion of the membership by sending an email to this reflector???

For a communications outfit, this is an extreme lack of communication.

Could someone provide some insight to at least a couple of the
circumstances mentioned?

Thanks.

P.S. I see that the CRA Swaplist has not been notified yet.
