i will have my Tiny Tim handie talkie on the air tonight.
7pm,  145.55 MHz from COS.
i can use any signal reports.


This is a home made handie talkie,

You can see the circuit in CQ magazine, Jan. 1946, p7-8.

i used to take this HT to High School in 1956.


It uses a 958A Acorn tube and one 1S4 audio tube.

The power output is about 100 milliwatts. It has a 19 inch whip with a super regen receiver.

It runs on 2 - 1.5V cells and 8 - 9V batteries and weighs 3 pounds.
