Obituary

John Henry Leslie, 70, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully at 11:18 PM Sunday, January 8, 2017. John was born on September 16, 1946 and served honorably in the US Navy from 1964 to 1967 as a Radarman Third Class on USS JOHN W WEEKS (DD 701) stationed in Norfolk, VA and a sworn police officer with the Brighton and Dillon Police Departments in Colorado in the early 1970s. Additionally, he was a life-long HAM radio operator (K0ATV) and Broncos fan; an avid drag racer and mechanic. John is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mary Leslie, his siblings, Mardel, Mary Jo, and Fred (Stanley). He is survived by his children, Maren and Jarrod Fowler, Robert Beckett, and Brenda Beckett-Walker; eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
