At tonight's meeting, someone asked me what labels I use for printing
out my name, call sign / email address, and phone # to place on the
ticket stubs. I couldn't remember what the Avery template number was, so
I took a look and here's the full scoop:
Now I bought these a number of years ago, and I'm still working on what
I have left. Therefore your mileage will most certainly vary since
everything is so much more expensive now.
The box has the OfficeMax name on it (could be from before the Office
Max-Depot merger!).
Has the part(?) number OM99053 (search for this did NOT work!)
Laser White Address Labels
3000 labels, 30 per sheet (100 sheets)
1 in. x 2 5/8 in. bright white
same size as Avery template 5160
I just took a quick look, and for the same size labels, I found the
Avery brand 8160, which is a box of 750 (25 sheets of 30 each) for
$19.69, at Office Depot. Couldn't find an equivalent store brand.
Staples may have one, though.
For printing them, I used Microsoft Word, blank document, Mailings tab,
Labels button.
Enter your name (and call sign if not part of your email), email
address, and phone # on separate lines. (I put call sign in all caps and
slashed zero (Alt-0216), space, then @domain.)
Select Full page of the same label and Print (after putting label
sheet(s) in printer!). Select number of copies you need - and have label
sheets in feeder, and let 'er rip.
I used a side-blade paper cutter to cut the labels down to a usable
size, but scissors will work fine, too.
Good luck!
