[PPRAANet] COS Century Link Question

POTS is regulated, and has federal mandates on engineering and uptime.
FIber is not regulated at the same level. In practice, it generally has
power protections, but they are not "for certain". I've seen local
connectivity go down with power outages (both commercial and residential),
but usually it does not.
Best practice is to put a UPS on all of your local equipment - helps
protect from both power surges and power outages.
