If you have smart phone don't forget to check "511", it will give you 
info in the area. I guess it uses GPS to see where you are and sends 
appropriate info.

In our area, start with the PPFMA machines as that is the primary system used by ARES and if no answer or you can't hit them try the CMRG 345 machine or the MARC machines, which are also backups for ARES. The Colorado Connection machines are monitored by CERN so are also a good choice.
