What an awful fake news article.

The writer is confused between "equinox cracks' in the sun" and
equinox cracks' in the Earth's magnetic field. He uses both
descriptions but only one is possible while the other is impossible
(the Sun does not and never will have an equinox!)

The article uses lot of hype ("Huge Solar Storm will slam the Earth
TOMORROW") to describe a storm rated as a likely G1 (minor
storm)  by the SWPC.
