FT-90R Dual-Band Micro Mobile FM Transceiver
50W - 2M, 35W - 70cm
Yaesu’s mechanical and metallurgical engineers have achieved a technological breakthrough in the development of the FT-90R, providing 50 Watts of 144 MHz power output (430 MHz: 35W) from a package measuring just 3.9" x 1.2" x 5.4" (100mm x 30mm x 130mm), and weighing just 1.42lb. (644g). The FT-90R's diecast aluminum chassis doubles as the heat sink for the M67781L (144 MHz) and M57788MR (430 MHz) power modules, with a microprocessor-controlled cooling fan providing extra ventilation when needed. The result is a high power dual-band transceiver with high reliability...that you can fit into your coat pocket! http://tinyurl.com/ybre77fe
This is a wonderful little radio. I have used it primarily at larger public service events, and for a year or two in my den. Originally, I had planned to put it into my old Geo Prizm to replace the 2m Radio Shack mobile that I had installed where the cubby hole was in the dash. But the RS mobile kept plugging away faithfully. Now I have three other dual-banders, soooooo......

65 Watts output! No fan - just a super large heat sink. This is a very rugged rig. It is brand new, still in the box. I only took it out when purchased, to power it up and check its functionality. I bought it with the intention of it being dedicated for my portable packet station, but that never quite came to fruition.
