[PPRAANet] Hiram Percy Maxim special event station

PPRAA will operate a special event operation AFØS in La Junta remembering  
the death of Hiram Percy Maxim on February 17, 1936. Raleigh N4HYF, and I 
will  leave town about 6 am on February 17th. We will be on 146.400 simplex on 
the way  down. I will be submitting an article and pictures to ARRL for 
QST. If you are a  good article editor I sure would like to run the article 
thru you.  
 
Basic planning shows us with 2 tents 2 rigs, and a generator. So we could  
use some extra operators. It is estimated being active just after 9 am and 
run  till about 4 pm. 
 
If you would like to go please let me know so I get a count of participants 
 and list of calls for the article.
 
Don't Miss This! It is a once a year event and will be very popular across  
the ham community and we will be on a lot of spotting networks. I think we 
are  the only group doing this.
