Good advice, Glenn. If in doubt never click on an attachment or a supposedly safe web site. You can always call the individual or send them an e-mail (just don’t reply to the suspicious e-mail address that sent it to you). Also, take a look at the Properties and see where the suspect e-mail really came from. I received 2 e-mail from my daughter. They gave her name as the sender, but a close look showed they had come from some scumbag in Japan. I didn’t click on either one, but called her and told her to change her e-mail account password. Both of the messages were from her Hotmail account. These supposedly free e-mail accounts are easy prey for hackers.
My policy here is, if I don’t know who the sender is and am suspicious, I do not click on any links mentioned in the e-mail. A common one these days has text that reads something like “Hi. Thought you might be interested in seeing this.” If I get one like that, the red flags start waving, and they should be waving for you, also.
Have a Merry Christmas, all.

They appear to actually be reading the website and know who the President, Treasurer, etc are by name. This and the fact that they are spoofing the email addresses for club officers makes these a little harder to spot. They are asking members to send money to a "vendor" and that the member will be reimbursed -- something the club would never ever do. They have hit me up twice so far this week.
