Even for a probably better than average station in a quiet location,
they are not easy to work running 1.5 KW to gain antennas on any band.
They are in and out of the noise all the time. I caught a peak in
conditions last night and got them on 160 and 80 CW. Prior to last night
I could hear them well enough on 80 to know it was them but I would have
no clue who they came back to when. I called. I never heard them on 160
before last night. I think the Microlite concept is great for optium
solar flux conditions near the equator but maybe not in this case with
a polar station with 100w to verticals back from the ocean! I'm sure
they are getting lots of dupes from people having trouble copying them!
