Tell your real estate agent to not bother showing you any property with
CC&R's that restrict antennas. Better yet, a good rule of thumb is to say
"NO HOA's" also.
Having lived there at one time, I do know that the HOA in Brookwood
Subdivision (near Woodmen & Academy) has gone over to the dark side and has
become extremely oppressive (enacted new covenants that specifically
restrict antennas for one). This is a good area to stay away from.
Check with the individual county for permit requirements.

Fellow Hamers,
I'm moving to Co Springs (in the military) and am looking at houses that
have at least 0.5 acre lot so I can put up a 70 foot tower with a 20 meter
quad on top. Do any of you know resources I can talk to about making sure I
can do a 70 foot tower. I'm looking at purchasing an AB-577/GRC with the
MK-806 75 foot extension (google it http://www.ontariosurplus.com/ab577.htm,
this thing is very cool)
V/R,
