FYI,
I just got an email reply to my query about the Alinco power supply.
Mike Stansberry had noticed the 220V - 100V switch on a schematic and
told me about it. Apparently it is a switch to convert the power supply
from 120 to 220 volt input.
Here's the Email I received from the GRE tech...
I am slightly correcting this info though as the best way to reach the
switch is to remove the bottom plate of the power supply, rather than
removing screws from the front and back, and sliding the board out.

Hi Phillip,
Here is the mod for the DM330 power supply:
The mod is very simple, and common to all versions of DM-330 family :
MV/MVT(100V-120V) and MVE (200-240V)
1: Disconnect the cable from wall outlet. Remove screws around front and
rear cases.
2: Remove the main board from the chassis by sliding the board. When
it's hard, use a rubber-head hummer and knock the board gently.
3: On the side of the board where parts are mounted, you will see the
same switch as the main power or meter switch. This is the
only switch of this kind on the board so you just can't make mistake.
4: The switch is set to "100" side printed on the board. Turn it to
"200" side. From 200V to 100-120V, do the same from 200 side to
100 side. Done.
5: Re-assemble all. Change the fuse from 8A to 4A for 200V conversion,
from 4A to 8A for 100V conversion for your safety. Buy a
conversion socket of the wall-outlet for the cable.
* The reason we don't post this info on the web is, "NO PROTECTION
CIRCUIT is provided". When you plug 100V setting 330 to 220V
outlet, it fries up in a second and dies (220V position to 100V outlet
is safe). Doing this mod will void the Alinco warranty.
