GOLDEN - A 54-year-old worker died Monday night in an apparent accident at
the MillerCoors plant in Golden.

 The body of William Leahy, an electrician at the plant and a 30-year
employee of Coors, was found by co-workers at about 9:30 p.m., said Aimee
Valdez, a MillerCoors spokeswoman.

The death, being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, does
not appear to be suspicious, said Jacki Kelley, a sheriff's spokeswoman.

"Leahy was well-regarded by his coworkers and our condolences go out to the
Leahy family and Bill's friends during this difficult time," a MillerCoors
company statement said.

The brewer will provide support and counseling to employees who are impacted
by Leahy's death, the statement said.
