[PPRAANet] Zero-Beat deadline and news

Tuesday, March 25th, (in six days) is the deadline for submissions to the April issue of Zero Beat. All columns, ads, news items, articles, etc. are due by 5 p.m. on the 25th. All submissions received after 5 p.m. will be held for the May issue. 

In other news, because I will be out doing personal appearances and interviews for the first two of eight books coming out this year, I will no longer have the time to devote to the Zero Beat. I had intended to step down as editor in December 2008 but my schedule is filling up quickly to stretch it that far. I have contacted Doug Nielsen N7LEM and told him my last issue as editor will be the July issue, which comes out the first week of July. That means there are only four issues of the ZB, including the upcoming April issue, in which you will have the opportunity to read me reminding you of the monthly ZB deadline. 

In the 2+ years I have been editor, I have learned a lot about some of you and about the community and ham radio and I hope that I have at least imparted a little wisdom and made you smile at least once along the way. I wish whoever takes over the helm the best of luck and will help as much as I can from the sidelines, even to the point of contributing the odd editorial that only two or three people will actually read. 

In the meantime, take a few minutes (or hours) and put together your submissions of the April issue before I take all the space scolding and pontificating as I write my swan song.
