PPRAA Members --
As some of you know, Dean Haskins (KAØPII) of Woodland Park took a
terrible fall Sunday afternoon and sustained very serious head injuries,
amongst other things. Several PPRAA members have asked if I could send
daily updates to the PPRAA reflector (I've been sending updates to PPARES,
MARC, etc.). I wasn't sure it was appropriate since I don't think Dean is
a PPRAA member. He is well-known in PPRAA, however, from our annual joint
PPRAA/MARC Field Day, he's EC for PPARES, MARC Treasurer and a member of
the MARC VE Team.
At any rate, just to bring PPRAA members up to speed on the situation, I'm
combining the three updates I've sent out starting with the first one from
Monday morning and continuing through the most recent (last) sent this
morning. They are in chronological order below.
Dean is unconscious (has been since Sunday) and in very serious, but
stable, condition in the ICU at Memorial (full details below). He needs
our thoughts and prayers more than anything at the moment. I am asking
folks to send a QSL card (if you have one) with a "get well soon" message
-- or just a get well soon card (he likes the humorous variety). The
address is contained below.
We have seen some signs of progress (albeit small) during the past 24
hours.
My thanks to all who have expressed their concern!
