[PPRAANet] Foxhunt Results!

Hello everyone,

We had a great foxhunt this afternoon!  Five teams started out from the
Albertson's parking lot in Briargate, and four found the fox.  Of course,
two teams combined efforts part way through the hunt, so everyone who
started did indeed finish!

The fox was hidden in a tree near the Falcon High School, which is,
appropriately enough, located in Falcon!  The hunt began at approximately
1320.  First to find the fox was Mike Allison, K0MLA, and XYL Susan, KC0SYA,
at 1436, an excellent time.  Even more impressive is the fact that this was
the first hunt for both of them, and Susan was licensed only a few weeks
ago!  The other teams arrived within an hour of Mike and Susan.  Once the
fox was recovered, we all retired to a nearby restaurant for a snack, and to
swap tall tales!

Photos of the presentation of the new foxhunting trophy and a more detailed
account of the hunt will be published in the next 0-Beat.  In the meantime,
you can all start getting ready for the next hunt!  There are plenty of
websites devoted to hidden transmitter hunting, so do your research and come
out to join the fun!
