Greetings All,

A few ham friends and I are putting together this lightweight and small HF
backpacking vertical antenna. I have the parts list of components put together
in an excel spreadsheet and can provide it to anyone who is interested. The
antenna requires "some" machining work, i.e., tap and die for threading rod
sections and tapping one hole in a metal coupler. The majority of the work
involves drilling holes in plastic risers and end caps - a drill press would be
nice for this but it is not absolutely necessary if safety precautions are
taken. For details, go to http://www.njqrp.org/pac-12/ and review the
construction details. Also, a ready made kit is available from the designer at
http://www.pacificantenna.com/ .

For those who are really interested and want to get started fast, I have two
extra packages of components (I hesitate to call them kits since some machining
is needed) that provide all the parts needed to make a PAC-12 with 4 band coils
(for 40/30/20/15m with some variation permitted) that I can sell for $31.42 each
to the first two who commit. We can work out delivery logistics one on one.
Anyway, check out the info and let me know if you want a package. I am also
available to answer questions about local parts availability as needed.
