[PPRAANet] CC&R's

I keep living in an area with at least one idiot I must depend on to =
represent me. Before I moved back to Colorado it was that idiot from =
Pennsylvania, Senator Santorum. Now it's Hefley. I was under the =
impression that Libertarians believed in freedom, I didn't know it was =
limited freedom. Try buying a new house without CC&R's. They are =
everywhere and one local group even requires flammable wood shingles on =
the roof! One only need to view the weather and fire pattern lately to =
realize the insanity of this requirement. As amateur radio is a resource =
for homeland defense, I believe it should be released from total =
obliteration by covenants. H. R. 4720 only requires that homeowners =
associations to make a "reasonable" accommodation of amateur radio =
antennas. This hardly seems unreasonable. There are many limitations =
placed on covenants, you cannot discriminate, you must allow satellite =
TV antennas, and so on. A blanket prohibition on one group seems =
unreasonable. I can have two horses, but no antenna more than 4 feet =
above the roof. That is unreasonable.

Cheers,
     Frank
