Pocono Amateur News Bulletin April 2011
Welcome to the first Pocono Amateur News Bulletin for the Amateur community in
the Poconos. We hope to keep you informed of the HAM Radio activities that are
planned in the Poconos and in surrounding areas and to:

• Promote Ham radio and related activities in the Poconos and in the
surrounding areas,
• Organize amateurs to help each other and the community and
• Have fun!!
This new letter is brought to by the Pocono Amateur Radio Klub (PARK) and from
our sister club the Eastern Pennsylvania Amateur Radio Club (EPARA). Our goal is
to provide information to the Pocono amateur radio community of upcoming news
and events occurring in our area. This news bulletin will come out at least
every quarter throughout the calendar year. We do welcome other clubs to list
their events and promote activates in our surrounding area.
This edition of the Pocono Amateur News Bulletin will cover:
• Upcoming activities
• Ongoing Activities
• Additional News from the Poconos
• New Ideas for an event or function
• Amateur Radio Resources guide
It is important that you not sit on the sidelines. We need to show our
community that Amateur radio is important and vital. To do this your help and
support is needed to keep amateur radio alive in the Pocono Mountains. Help us
by joining both or either club. We realize that your schedule may not permit you
to attend either of the club meetings but your membership will help provide the
credibility our clubs need when we deal with our local government and other
organizations. Any participation in any of the below activities is the FUN part
of being a member. There is no requirement to be living in the Poconos to join
and be active. Each member will kept informed via or web site and by email.
If you have any questions about the clubs or on the below items please refer to
the below websites or send me an email at mario at arvelo.net
