Thanks for posting this Allen!  I've gotten a couple of replies 
already.  BTW, one of our other forecasters was making spotter contact 
calls and one of the people he spoke to expressed some disappointment in 
not being called to be Net Controller during any storm events last 
year.  There tend not to be a lot of Skywarn activations in any given 
Summer which reduces the opportunities, but perhaps at this year's 
preseason coordination meeting/s there could be a discussion of how best 
to include willing volunteers for Net Control.  Perhaps there could be a 
30 day rotation list (June 15 - July 14, July 15 - Aug 14, etc.) or 
possibly the person that is contacted to be Net Controller could call a 
"buddy" on the list for tag along on situations when we have people come 
into the office to run things.  Just tossing out some ideas...
