I have the Winradio WG-R 305i receiver -10kHz to 1800MHz.
  to replace my ageing Icom PCR1000
Very pleased with performance on HF to UHF
Easy to use and familiarise interface and many accessories  within 
software to add to its usefulness.
Superb scanning facilities and good audio.
Fits inside PC so more desk-space-external version also available.
3.5GHZ downconverter soon available
