[PCR-1000] repair?

early software didnt have the backup function or re-write ability, which is 
when my 1000 went "south".  Mine sits in a box until I can find a "sucker" 
to buy it. :-(  I have NO use for ICOM products in the future.  rather stick 
with Collins and Yaesu. ;-)

If you really want a reliable broadband rcvr that even washes the dishes; 
look at Watkins-Johnson.  I have 2 of them.  MAGNIFICANT !!
