[PCR-1000] Request for information

Regarding your request for information, In  the interest of promoting 
discussion.

1. OS=Win XP (w/service pack 2)
2. RS-232 serial port.
3. Primary Software=TalkPCR
4. No decoding at this time.
5. Other:
             Length of  PCR 1000 owner ship=  two weeks.
             Antenna:  Discone (with center vertical element added for SW 
reception) at 20'
             QTH: Manatee County Florida (South of Tampa bay on the gulf 
coast)
             Thinks I want to do to (goals):
                    1: Monitor local public service trunking system.
                    2. Assemble local master list of conventinal frequencies 
for use in PCR 1000
                    3. Broadcast band SWL

              Things I would eventually like to do:
                    Learn about decoding  digital modes
                    Expand into other types of HF listening (military, aero 
marine all sound interesting)

I bought the PCR 1000 for use as a computer controlled scanner and am 
pleased with it's performance. I am very surprised  at how well it works
as a HF receiver.

Has any one tried:
                    Trunking with the PCR?
                    Probe1k software? ( sounds very interesting)
