Hi Mike,
The Digital Scout is only a little bit larger than the Scout, but I've not
really felt the difference. If you have an enclosure for it then yes, it
could be a factor.
Regarding the reaction tune, I made a small PIC-based board that converted
between the CI-V commands and a number of other protocols (mainly AOR and
the PCR1000, but Uniden could be added), no volume or squelch buttons
however - they could be easily added. If there is enough interest, I could
get back on the drawing board and build a commercial-grade kit. An updated
version of Otto is also in the works :-)
