[PCR-1000] TalkPCR v2.9 Beta

I'll bet the problem is in the fact that it is still referred to as beta.

Beta makes the users think it is still a work in process.
As an author, If software has reached a stable milestone and no immediate
updates are planned, The software should be taken out of the beta stage.

It sounds like You and I both have had problem with software that have be
ruined by updates. This is the programmers fault. Some get tired of a
project and just don't test updates like they tested the original product.
We as users and the product are the ones that suffer.

Just my 2 cents worth, But I have been writing code for 20+ years.

Yes, why does software have to be updated on a regular basis,
if it works well no need for it. I know lots of good software
that has been spolied by updates. When you do update software,
it should be done to make it better, not just because it have
been some time since last update.

I am sure that if you have some realy good reasons for a upgrade
of TalkPCR, then the autor will be happy to hear about it.
