Instructing comments. Most likely PROBE1K may be more than what you are
looking for in a software program for scanner control. One of the biggest
problems in scanning a major metropolitan area is the congestion of radio
communications. I don't care how fast a radio can scan through a bank or
banks of frequencies (I'm running 40 cps), you will miss replies or other
important information with a normal scanner. PROBE1K will allow you to alter
the scan pattern automatically when traffic is heard on a selected frequency
or frequencies to allow you to concentrate on selected frequency or
frequencies. Using the TacScan feature PROBE1K will automatically scan the
active channels more often for the duration of time that you select.

I'm using a Toshiba Libretto for my computer to run/program radios. It's a
166 MHz running Winders 98 and about the size of a VHS tape. It's slightly
smaller than the ICOM-PCR1000. Wife complains when I start carrying too much
during our travels.

Last week I was in St Louis using PROBE1K and monitoring all the VHF/UHF
traffic during the storms. Was very impressed with the ability of the
radio/software to capture the traffic that I was missing on my Uniden 245
and PRO-95. Things got really busy while the storms were on the ground in
the De Soto area and the Uniden and it's fast scanning was getting blown
away by PROBE1K.

If you classify this software as a Scanbank managers and the way old
scanners work I think you missed something.
