I am using TalkPCR on a Pentium 90 and while it takes a few more seconds to
load than on my main machine(1Ghz) it is still capable of working fine. Only
16 Mb of RAM as well!and a few small proggies running in the background. So
I think you have something wrong somewhere!!!!! Check out task manager if
you are running windows XP or 2000 and look for other processes and check
your COM port settings as well
