Eating CPU like that sounds a little strange to me. TalkPCR ver 2.8B5 on my 
1.0 GHz AMD Athlon with Win NT4 never takes more than 38%, even if 
remaining CPU capacity just is left to the null process. Process priority 
is "Normal". What OS and priority are you using?
