[PCR-1000] VOLUME ON HF

I take it that this a momentary loss of audio. This is probably that the
high level *peak* of this signal may have momentarily "desensitized" the
radio's front end or also some action because of the radio's AGC.

When I tune into a hf signal I get a strong meter reading but no volume.

Why would this be.
