I've seen unexpected noise in some of my weather satellite pictures too, but 
unfortunately it's always when I'm not listening to the signal so I haven't 
identified it yet.  I wouldn't have expected the government to authorize 
paging on the same frequency, but they've done stupider things.  However, 
I've read that one of the older weather satellites (NOAA-9?) is out of 
control and occasionally interferes with one of the newer ones.
