[PCR-1000] packet output

If it helps other, here are my observations.

I have not got a decent enough aerial yet to get a full solid pass to 
create a picture that looks good (I will soon when I have built my QFH). 
however the following is what I get now.

1. With Speaker output from PCR1k I get a scratchy but reasonable picture 
for +/- 500km of my location.
2. With packet output from PCR1k I get a scratchy but slightly better 
picture that #1 from Horizon to Horizon.

Both #1 and #2 go to line in on the PC. the Picture is scratchy because my 
aerial doesn't pull in enough of the signal hence my need to build a better 
WX aerial (QFH)

I read last week about the packet output on this group and had always 
wondered what the difference was, just never got round to trying it. Now I 
have I am impressed by the packet output, the audio response must be far 
clearer in pure terms such that WXToImg, and WXSat immediately acquire the 
signal about 1 or 2 deg over horizon even before I can hear that its 
present using the speaker output to headphones.

I hope someone finds my summary helpful and it leads them to experiment and 
feedback to the group.
