[PCR-1000] antenna heating

With an ohm meter, measure across the center conductor of the Antenna
Input and its ground. You should measure 0 ohms. 

Even a dead short would do this. Are you sure your new 50 m  dipole
isn't connected to
120 ac?  :)

just installed an 50 meter dipole antenna
it seems like the BNC gets warm when connected to the antenna 
does this make sense and is it dangerous for the receiver?
