The pcr-1000 outputs a maximum 200milliwatts. This doesn't mean your
soundcard will even try and draw this much. many microphones can output this
tiny power level. The pcr-1000 is NOT designed to drive a normal speaker but
a tiny one or headphones or powered speakers. I have used mine with many
soundcards for many years with the mic input and it will not cause any
problems.
