[PCR-1000] TalkPCR

Here is how mine is set up:
Rs-232 to serial port on my computer
Speaker on the PCR-1000 disabled as described in page 3 of the manual
Speaker jack on the PCR-1000 runs to the LINE-IN on my computer.
I hear the radio through my computer speakers.  You will need to go to your
soundcard properties to adjust or enable your input (LIINE-IN or MIC) so it
comes through your speakers.

I've had little luck with Talk PCR myself as it won't run right on my
computer for some reason but I did have it installed with the above set-up
and it worked.
