The original power supply is a real mess :-(((. Using it with a LOWE HF-225
RX, it produces hum, also the output voltage is a bit too high. Running the
PCR with a rechargeable 15 Ah/12V battery will leave it cold as a fish.

There are several programs to save the eeprom settings of the PCR, even on
bonito�s (RadioCom) website. The problem is not the third-party software,
but the bat design of the RX. Normally there have to be a writing protection
for an eeprom such as a jumper in the circuit. Also: If the Icom software
would be better, there would be no need to use third party soft.

The RX performs very bad on sw. I�m using it only for the higher
frequencies, thinking about modification for DRM on sw. www.drm.org

Paid for the used (3 months) unit DEM 600,- in 1999, about $300-350.
