Prior to calling me names, if you read my statement per se, I never said
that I looked for those methods.  I am not about modifying radios.  I do
not need to.  Nor am I to know what happened on this reflector prior to
my joining.  

I hope that you feel better about yourself by calling me names.  Yes
that's right.  I am here to take the blame from all ignorant and insipid
individuals like yourself for making inaccurate statements, from YOUR
PERCEPTION.  

You can go to hell, and I will keep taking the blame as a "horses ass"

You haven't paid much attention
then, as there have been both hardware and software methods which did
(do) just that.

If you own one from the first few years of production, either method
will work. However, it was noticed by the FCC, and Icom was forced to
modify their design  to prevent this mod.

The author of talkpcr has an EEPROM backup program that also resets
things to any of several different country setttings if you so desire.

These mods were a hot topic in the early days of this reflector, so
perhaps you can find them in an archive.

I'm sure some of the 'old timers' will have more info if any are still
around.

It's always good to check your facts before making a horses ass of
youself, especially  when trying to make an ass of someone  else.

Do a little  research, I'm sure you'll turn something up.
