 This particular message that I'm replying to has 300+ lines of mostly
headers and one-liner rejoinders, ALL of which I've just gotten through
reading already.  300 lines of useless garbage!

  Please be aware that some of us do not use any Micr$hit products at all,
(I for one use an ASCII-only email prog [PINE] running under a Unix shell
account via dial-up and telnet) and that those on slower dial-ups(me), and
especially those in other countries who might pay for their connectivity
*BY THE BYTE* suffer needlessly from reams of repeated headers and
footers.

  It is especially frustrating to get a huge untrimmed mass of
already-read text that someone has prepended "me too" or "I agree" to. In
these days of endemic spam and UCE, I simply delete a lot of things, and
most days I don't have the time to plough thru miles of unweidly junk to
get to something useful...  I get about 100 e-mails a day, from various
Lists and Reflectors, as well as personal correspondence - I hate to think
I've trashed something I might have been interested in, but my main work
is *not* Vice President in charge of E-Mail Admin....

  We now return you to your New Years Festivities... here in Northern
California in the Sierras, the sun is out, the snow has all but melted off
my lawn, clumps of grass still green under there... woo hooo! Time to open
up the garage door, fire up the rigs, and do a bit o' DX!
