[PCR-1000] good full coverage antenna

I have the Radio shack discone you mention.
While it is a good antenna, I have found 2 better choices.
For an even better discone, check out this Diamond:

My favorite antenna is the good old Scantenna:

I find the Scantenna to be the best overall performer, and it is very
affordable.
