[PCR-1000] AM Band reception

HI Marty
I'm in Perry, Western New York. My PCR1000 is connected to my discone
~50 feet up. Right now I'm listening to WBT News Talk, out of Charlotte,
NC. Good signal, solid S4 with slight fading. Checking WRVA 1140,
Richmond, VA, is booming in S8. 
KYW 1060, Philadelphia, PA, S7.
I'm impressed with the PCR1000 considering it's connected to a discone
antenna designed to receive 25MHz - 1300MHz. Wonder what she will do on
the inverted V?
